Today was one of those days you dream about in East Texas - 70 degrees, light breeze, brilliant sunshine, not a cloud in the sky between El Paso and Texarkana. The air was so dry that the sky was almost navy blue.

I got on my Jubilee at 8:30 this morning and except for gas and water breaks didn"t get off until 4:15. Mowed the horse nettle off my farm. I live for days that I get to spend on a tractor.

One thing, though. Next time I spend all day mowing horse nettle I am gonna wear a pair of chaps! The front of my legs and ankles are killing me!
