Cambodia is a test for any cooling system. We have a 1030 that has the old five blade fan, no extra tank on the radiator. And have a hard time keeping it cool. I know some of you have figured this out before, but give me some advice. We checked and there are no bubbles in the radiator. Maybe were just working it too hard? It's pulling a 24"field cultivators "S" tine with rolling baskets.

If you can upgrade to a more blade fan to move more air. Also double check the timing and valve settings for that could cause a problem. Also how fast does it overheat, right away when you are working it or is it gradual slow overheat. And how fast is the water flowing through the radiator too slow a overheat. Is the impeller clearance right on the waterpump.

Ted , this is a wild guess but I have the same problem . I found that rust has grown between the cylinder walls and water flow is restricted. Also you could add extra coolant fins to the radiator.
