I’m working on an 8n Ford the oil pump lost its prime I saw on here where it said to remove the 15/16 nut off front of Block and squirt 90w oil in there but when I went out there just now that must have been instructions for a different year model or something because there was no such nut on front of engine or anywhere else I could see. I’m at a Dead End could someone help me with this????

The hex plug you are looking for is in the timing cover at the front of the engine. Remove it, then the spring under it, followed by the oil pressure regulating valve (being careful to note the order and orientation of the parts).

Then, pump some oil into the exposed oil gallery from where it will find it's way down to the oil pump through an intersecting passage.

Oh another question would you use the 80-90w oil that some of the others recommend or just use the same oil that is in the engine and how much should I put in the oil gallery as you call it then I guess I put the plug back in as came out, then should I hit the starter immediately without the key on and see if oil gauge is showing anything???
