How did they reverse Allis WC's?

1941 WC how did they do this?

There should be a lever mounted on the transmission and a pattern stamped around it's perimeter. Shove in the clutch and move that long handle towards 'R' and let out the clutch....that should make it reverse.

Oh, that isn't what you meant! OK...just yanking your chain a little! I don't know what they did...but somebody here does as it was a fairly common thing.

C'mon guys, enough of that. The ring gear and pinion unit was inverted on the WD to mount the cotton picker system, it probably inverts on the WC too.

I did the same thing on an IH W9. turned the ring gear carrier upside down so the ring gear is on the opposite side of the pinion shaft and all driverline motion is reversed. This works on quite a few tractor models where the pinion is centered in the transmission case, and no other component prevents installing the differantial carrier opposite of stock. I will post a picture of my reversed IH W9/ Chevy/ Oliver loader tractor.

Thats how I ended up with my W9. My Dad bought it to reverse for a loader tractor but decided it was too nice a tractor to tear apart for that so we just kept it.
