How do I find Year?

Hood says MF, plate says MH50, below that it says: SGM50I076. This is a 4 cylinder gas tractor. Any help would be great. Thanks

Its a Massey Harris 50 made in 1956. Go to the tractor regisry and look for other MH-50's. Compare your serial with the others and you will narrow it down pretty quickly. As for the SGM, S=standard chassis, G=gas, M=dual clutch Around here it is worth about 3 grand in rough working condition, prepare to pay more for a nice one. The chassis should be gold, but it sounds like it has been redressed as a MF50.

I believe your tractor is a 1956. The first one's were massey harris' and then they switched to Massey Ferguson. Dick
