I have the torque converter from My Case 450B on the table. It was leaking badly at the cover plate. The only place I see that fluid can get out is the O ring at the output shaft. I have the housing off and the hub off do I need to go as far as the manual shows or stop short of this. Can I get the seals and O Ring at a Bearing and Drive store or did Case use odd ball sizes. This was quite a job to get out the ones who design these machines should have to work on them. Any pointer will be appricated greatly

If possible pressurize it, it could have a crack in the cover. I have seen a couple of cat converters crack,as well as a bunch of light truck converters crack, from heat and stress. I'm not real familiar with Cases, but does it have a scavenger pump to pull excess fluid away from the converter,if so the pump could be bad or the filter screen clogged, and it can't get the oil away from it fast enough.
