How much difference

My old drill was D 18v as well as my laser level and jig saw. I replaced the drill w/ 20v and got an adapter. The only 2 changes ive noticed are that the combination is much lighter and smaller, and the run time is much, much longer.

YES you can use one with another, heres more adapters then you will ever need lol

Voltage adapters

I got the 18v 4 inch grinder and was not impressed. Then I got the 20v battery and adapter, Wow grinder works Sooo! much better. Is now usable, more power and longer use on a charge. I did find that battery charge lasts much longer if I remove it when finished using.

I started out with the 18 volt dewalt tools and then bought the 20 volt.Bought the adapters to make use of the newer batterys in my older 18 volt tools.very happy.Have used a few impacts hard and they have held up so far.

If you have 18 volt Dewalt tools get the 20 volt adapters along with batteries and charger to convert them
I have several 18 volt Dewalt tools and a couple new 20 volt tools, still have some good 18 volt batteries so I'll use whatever batteries are charged up
As my 18 volt tools break or go bad I replace them with 20 volt
I have noticed that if I leave the 20 volt batteries in the adapter on a 18 volt tool the battery will drain down, also if I use a 20 volt battery and adapter on my 18 volt grease gun I can't take the battery out because it slides down and hits the grease tube
The only Dewalt tool I've purchased that I've considered junk is my 18 volt 1/2 inch drive impact gun, it makes a lot of noise but won't break the lug nuts loose on any of the tractor front wheels or any on our pickups

Huh I love my dewalt half inch gun it will take the wheels off
my one tons slicker than slick . There arent many jobs it wont
do

I love my Dewalt I/2cordless impact also, I even use a 3/4 adapter on it for the bigger jobs also. Will run for hours on a charge using 20v 5AH batteries. Used it hard for 3 months awhile back. Much better than my Milwaukee 18V that I sold to someone else.
