Ran across an Oliver Standard, think its a Super 66,its a diesel hasn't run in a awhile, missing the front end otherwise complete, surprisingly good sheet metal.
Serial number as well as I can make out is 39 572 606.What can you all tell me about it.Wonder how many were built?

This one is definitely a standard tractor,4 cylinder diesel and has Super style sheet metal. All looks to be original to the tractor. So with that serial number what do you think it is?Serial number plate is riveted to the dash panel below the dash per typical Oliver.

What do you mean when you say standard and super style sheet metal? Does the frame have the super pads on the side? Why do you think it's a standard?

It has the pads on the sides,6 bolt rear hubs, standard rear axles.I have had standards/industrial Olivers in the past and have 2 row crop 66 tractors now so I know the difference.

What is the Spec. number on the serial number plate?

The 6 bolt hubs sound unusual.

I have heard of a few other Super 66 standards, but have never see one.

I'll be going back to pick it up next week one day and get all the information off the ID plate.Thinking about it the hub could be an 8 lug but thought I counted 6 but definitely not
9 lug like the RC tractors.Non adjustable type hub.

606 is a tranny code for a s66/ 660 RC, my guess is you have parts of 2 tractors as that crown and pinion would barely move with the little 66 standard 24" tires.

Good point on the gearing,I'm thinking this unit may have stated life as a power unit for a roller or something similar.Going to pick it up regardless and give it a more in depth look over.Maybe I'll locate a front end and have the only Super 66 standard tractor.(LOL) Do have a NF I can use on it and with some
taller rear tires have a high clearance model.
