Using the formula of the exterior of a circle being (EX) convex, does the clutch cover mate to the convex side of the pto spring.

The spring washers almost look nylon by there colour.

The heat heat insulating washers are made of a whitish asbestos type material.

The heat generated in the pressure plateshould not be allowed to find its way to the springs and potentially soften them.

The more heat dissipating from the main drive pressure plate , sure great idea if the thermally non conductive washers can hold up.
