How to read NAA serial number

Our 1954 NAA is #117207. Is that just a number, or do the digits indicate specific info about the tractor?
thanks.

As FordFarmer said, serial numbers do not tell you anything about the tractor other than when it was made. The NAAs all had the same 4 speed transmission, 3 point hydraulics and non-live PTO, unless someone ordered one with a 3 point hydraulics or PTO delete, but that information won't be anywhere in any numbers on the tractor.

Power steering was not an option during the production run of the NAA. It was first made available near the end of the hundred series or beginning of the '01 series, depending on which Google search result you decide to believe. 😁

Even on the later ones that had power steering available, it was an option and there is nothing in any of the numbers on the tractor to indicate whether it left the factory with power steering, or whether it was added later. Unless you are very familiar, you can't even tell by looking whether some of the power steering setups came from Ford or were after market.
