I just purchased a 460 utility with a 3000 loader on it. It's in pretty rough shape. It seems to have an inline 6 gas motor... so C-221 is my guess. It's seized... I have a 466 in a 1980 cabover that needs a head gasket... would it work other than the power differential of course? Also the 3000 loader was put on 340's, 504's, 2504's, 2544's, 460's, 606's, 2606's and 2656's. Could it go on a 434?
We've had a MF35 gasser in the family for years... bought the 460 for the down pressure loader... I could scrap it and get my money out of it but was wondering what I need to do to start a re-power?

The 6 in the 460 is attached to a small frame trans and differential. (derived from a Farmall H) the larger engine is not only a sure way to drive train death, it is not the same size at all. 460s are happy with the power level produced by the original engine. Jim

Thanks. Kinda wondered about that. What about putting the loader on a 434 then? I found 1 that seems quite reasonable.

A switch to a different model tractor almost always requires different brackets and attachment points. Reasonable fabrication skills and welding capacity is probably needed. Jim
