HP Required

I’m looking at buying an 11’ wide coil tine cultivator.
Will my Farmall 450 pull it easily? It’s got right
around 50 hp. My 14’ disc is more than my tractor
wants when set all the way down.

You should handle it fine depending on how its built . Is it a kongsklide? Depends a lot on how heavy its built

It's on the lower end of the horsepower spectrum. But if you dont put it in too deep it should pull it. You need a bigger tractor. 706,etc

Are you refering to a John Deere digger, with the curl in the shank,Made out of about 1 or 1 1//4 square steel? All i know is don't back up with them when in the ground!!

A 12 foot 210 JD disk with 20 inch blades and the smaller closing disks sunk in to the spools in plowed soil pulls harder than a 15 foot vibra shank with "C" tines.

JUst remember, just because the implement can go 10 inches deep, does t mean you have to pull it that deep. I worked for a farmer that pulled his plows 5 to 6 inches deep,he covered more ground with less fuel and breakdowns than the neighbors who thought you had to plow 10 inches deep.

We use those here for "marker shanks". They wrk good because they flex around rocks. However,do NOT back up with them! Dont even bump them while backing up to the ditch. You will be buying a new one(s).

Just a couple inches depth makes a huge difference on whether or not you break plow parts or not thats for sure
