Hurricane in texas

I'm actually in Madison, WI for most of today. We leave here this afternoon and end up in Champaign, IL tonight, then back to DFW on Thursday. Zane, Walt and Micah are at home and when I talked to them last night they said it didn't even look like we will get any rain at all in Central Texas. We sure need it- we're just about ready to dry up and blow away.
Maybe sotxbill will check in- he's down in the Corpus Christi area if I'm not mistaken.

Right now I'm at our place in Utopia, Texas about 85 miles west of San Antonio.
Any rain that comes to the surrounding area is welcome since we are in the midst of a severe drought.
Actually we are hoping for a "friendly flood". Need to raise the rivers since they are either dry or more than 2' below normal.
Drilled some post holes a couple of weeks ago in top soil and caliche, at 2' it looked like talcum powder.
Come on rain.

Ironically, I'm in JacksonHole,Wyoming.

Its so dry the rocks are dying and the catus has moved north.

I dont wish harm on anyone but I'm praying for the rain.

I've already been putting out roundbales for the cows.

live 100 mi. north of houston got some wind sure fills good as hot as it"s been they said we would get 3" to 5" rain some time thu. sure could use it Jeep

A thunderstorm generated by Dolly blew through Thursday afternoon and we got .6" of rain. Of course the winds peeled the roof back on my barn but I'll worry about that later.

Hope all is ok.

Last hurricane we had in 05 that went over us peeled back a 10x10 section of my barn roof tin.. etc..
