Hyd. piston seal install?

I am replacing the piston seals on the loader on my Jubilee.

The Hyd. guy that sold me the seals said the wide part of the seal (Vpacking type seal) goes towards the highest expected pressure. In my case this means the wide part of the seal goes into the cyd. first, so it wants to keep catching. I am trying to not damage the seal.

Any ideas/tricks to getting them in?

Thanks,

-Dave

Take a section of a beverage can and wrap around seal with a hose clamp tightened down on the top of can section. Slide seal in leaving can/clamp on outside of cylinder.

i've used coke cans and hose clamps for all kind of rings and seals...make sure you wipe hydraulic fluid on new seal and inside can or ring compressor, whichever you decide to use.

Just wanted to say "THANKS". You guys are the best! I got a large hose clamp and lubed it with some oil and that seal went in without any fuss.

Thanks again for the help!
