what is the weight of motor oil that can be used in hydrawlics. instead of the mineral oil?

Some use 10w or 20w non-detergent

If you look in the archives you will find many are using up to 15 W 40 some in the very cold winters are using 10 W 30. Most are trying to use the same as what they use in their vehicles so they don't have to stock 2 or 3 different styles, and they are using detergent oil.

I've never seen a multi grade non-detergent oil... But then again I am not an oil expert. Though I have been accused of being oily

Use 15W/30 if you can get it in your area or use 15W/40 you will be able to get one or the other but 15W/30 is better.....John
