Hydralic Problem 8N will not go down

My lift goes up all the way but only down half way..Only way to get it to go all the way down is with the "position control lever" released. I cleaned out the case and changed the oil 6 mon. ago and it just recently started this..The control arm works the rocker lever ok it seems and the intake and release valves seem to be working..Zane mentions the spring behind the intake valve being weak..I see no parts available in any locations for these two valves..Would it be worth taking out the pump and spreading apart this spring...I don"t know what else to do. any other suggestions??

Yep it does shound like the control valve chances are your going to have to drian the fluids you may have to replace it but try moveing it back and forth see if that helps

f you can make it go up & down all the way with it in Draft mode, then it does NOT sound like a control valve problem, but rather a linkage problem. If it raises & lowers in Draft, that pretty much gives the control valves a clean bill of health.
