I have a ford 335 with factory loader and front mounted hydralic pump. My problem is the shaft will slide back and forth. If i push it forward it engages the pump , but it won't stay there so when it slides toward the crank it will just spin and not engage the pump. It looks to me like the splines are wore out on the crank end. If that's the case does anyone know an easy way to remove it? With all the brackets around the pump I can't see anyway to get it off without taking the loader off.
