Formerly referred to as a TO-20, it has been determined as a TE-A20 from Covington England. Having removed the lift cover I am assuming the gaskets for the work cylinder and cover marriage to be the only possible cause for fluid fall in the area of the fork spring. The question I am asking before putting it back together with new gaskets is, I am noting a port hole to the right of the three gear mounts which come through the casing and, I am not certain it should be "open" given there is a lower one with what appears to be a cover plugging it?

Also, given the amount of pressure on the channel made with the above mentioned marriage, is it required to cement the gaskets mounting the work cylinder to the lift cover?
