I pulled my cylinder out and I checked the bore it was 2.5 inches is this correct? I was leak down issues and guessed born rings but they look fine

• OD : 2.4985/2.4997 before phosphate coating

So what are you using to measure - a ruler?

eed about 2 or 3 more decimal places to mean anything. Furthermore there are about 9 possible leak points. Don't guess, put it back together, lift a load & look for leaks via inspection ports.

TOH, reminds me of: MEASURED WITH A MIC....MARKED WITH A CHALK....& CUT WITH AN AXE...
 
Did you look inside at the mouth of the cylinder when it was leaking down--steady stream
not good-drop occasionally probably not the problem..Should have looked at other leak prone
areas before disassembling..If cylinder is free of grooves, I'd buff it with fine emery
cloth and install new rings since it is already apart.you can't tell good from bad by
looking at them..need accurate measurements as others have pointed out..Just curious, how
fast was it leaking down??
