Hydraulic Fluid

Need to change fluids in my 830 this spring so was doing a little phone shopping on this cold windy day. Hy-tran Ultra in a 5 gallon pail $81.00, in bulk for 5 gal. $70.90. TCH is still available at the construction dealers for $89.94 for a 5 gallon bucket, I guess I will go with the Hy-Tran.

Good call.

I had a nice long talk with a dealer once about the effects of using Hytran compared to other oils.

They told me they can tell the difference in the old tractors that had used Hytran. The seals and bearings are normally in better shape.

They said the real difference is in High Hour tractors ones with 8-9000hrs. many times seals and orings are still flexible.

In tractors that use oils other than Hytran the orings are brittle and the seals are shot. they said they have actually seen seals fall apart in those tractors.

I agree with you 100% I have seen it many times first hand the results you speak of, Hy-Tran is a very good oil and totally worth the extra coin

Must be different pricing in different area's. I have bulk filled by the local dealer that has been $12.50 or $62.50 for 5 gal, bring your own container, Rod.

A couple of years ago I picked up a 1370 that had 8000hrs and had a seal on the pto and axle that leaked, Im sure the oil was very old judging by the shape of the tractor, put in new Hytran and after about a month no more leaks.

I should have mentioned that price is to fill my 30 gallon barrel, showed the price for 5 gallons just for comparison. The Dealer is Trueman-Welters, Buffalo, Mn. Closest one to me.
