A whole back I replaced the Hydraulic pump in my 1957 Massey Ferguson TO35: solved one problem but gave me another.
I'll try to make this brief. I attempted to make adjustments to the hydraulic lift system's vertical levers via the horizontal rods and springs connected to the levers. The manual says to adjust the spring pressure to 3 lbs. at the bottom of the levers. My problem is either they require too much pressure to move or no pressure at all.
I experimented with different tension on the springs, but that didn't help. If the draft is set to the adjustment position and I try to move the position control lever, it moves the draft lever. The position control will rase and lower the arms but in the wrong area of the quadrant. If I move the draft control lever to the top position, and the position control to up, it's like I just put on the brakes.
Something ain't right.
