Hydraulic Leak

I have a 1974 John Deere 510 Loader/Backhoe that's been a 3 year project. Finally got it running and everything functioning. Replaced a bunch of leaking hydraulic hoses and am down to one last, significant leak. The vertical hard line in the attached picture connects to a junction block via a threaded adapter. The adapter has a small o-ring that's supposed to seal the block to nipple. I have both the 510 service and parts manuals. I ordered and installed the correct John Deere o-ring, but it still leaked. I tried a slightly larger than oem o-ring; still leaked. I tried a metal washer with rubber center in place of the o-ring; no luck. Can anyone give me other ideas how to get a good seal? The leak is bad enough that it can't be ignored.

Thanks in advance!

Clean the area with brake cleaner or such and be sure it is dry. Run it and see if you can track the leak. I have seen a leak from a cracked, poorly seated line migrate down a fitting and look to be leaking around the fitting. Not saying it is your problem but needs to be checked.
