I am replacing the original hydraulic piston and rings with a Ford NAA piston and oring. I ordered the washer. What is the assembly setup concerning the washer?
 
If the Lift Cylinder is scored at all it will rip the Ford rubber seal apart, you are really better with steel piston rings, they last longer. If you still wish to fit the Rubber seal then you should hone the lift cylinder to make it smoother. I think that you mean the nylon ring that they use with the Rubber seal, this should fit towards the open end of the Piston...John
