When the hydraulic lift reaches maximum height with a 4 foot John Deere bush hog the three point system drops suddenly about 2 inches then remains in position after the engine is shur off.
I replaced the hydraulic cylinder, and piston as the cylinder was leaking as viewed through the left hand access cover. Replaced the control valve. I have installed a Zane Thang position control device which is great. Have the system set so that the lift will not reach maximum height so as to avoid the jerking small drop that occurs at maximum height. Looked through the access hole left side of tractor ahd the control forks move towards the rear of the tractor when the quadrant control is placed in the raise positon. A short back and forth jerk is noticeable in the control fork when the system is placed in the maximum raised position. This quick back and forth movement is the cause of the short drop in the 3 point system.
