hydraulic problems

Neighbor was telling me a friend of his has a compact JD, dont know model yet. He said the loader hydraulics still work but the 3 point stopped. I think its new enough to not be a yanmar. Till I get more information, does anyone have any ideas for me to suggest? Does it use one pump for both or separate pumps?

Just a thought... Don't have a JD but on my compact tractor they are part of the same system. One pump for both. Ask is he dinked around with the hydraulic selector valve or the draft control settings on the 3 pt? My brother got mine stuck in mud and couldn't get the FEL loader to push it out as he had the draft control on the 3 pt too high and it would not power the FEL.

Check the rate of drop valve. It may have been accidentally closed.

In order to correctly answer your question one needs to know model #. Is 3 pt fully raised or lowered?
