Hydraulic pump leak....

Took our 7520 for a test drive after the clutch job, it was outside running about a half hour then drove it awhile. Turned into the driveway and oil started spraying out from up front so got it into the shop (while leaving a big trail) shut it off and looked for a blown hose or something but saw nothing. Started it again and nothing but a slight seeping from 2 of the plugs (hex heads holding the pistons in the pump) Guessing it may be time for a new pump but would something else on the tractor have caused it? Don't want to mess up another pump. Any ideas?
Thanks Mitch

Most likely the shaft seal was where it was coming from, I have seen them act like that just before they fail completely.. the inner high pressure seal gets worn thin and sorts waves in the groove, I have re-sealed some that were worn so bad that I couldn't beleave the held at all. You should look into a "New" after market pump, rather than re-sealing your old one,, they are in the $8-900 range Deere pumps are around $2000..and probably from the same source..
