Hydraulic Pump screen filter element location

been researching all morning .. it's raining today, seems i have a unit with a reverser and no hi-low shift .... i think that is part of the reverser linkage, but my cover don't look like any in the book, they (3 in my book) have some kind of hyd spring and pin assy. ... this one most look like the one on 35-29 minus some parts ....it's the only one with the ear sticking up to carry the reverser linkage from the left to the right side (sitting on tractor)... you guys are great ... thanks for all your help, couldn't do it without ya...

With the hydraulic reverser your 300 does not have reverse in the range box and it is blocked out of reverse if you have the range shifted into II. That is as it is supposed to be. You would not have the hydraulic Hi-Lo with the reverser.

You have posted you have PC972 parts catalog. Look at the reverser controls in the transmission section. I think you are looking the controls for the hydraulic Hi-Lo which you do not have. When you reference "your book" you need tell us what book and post some pictures of what you are looking at in your book; we can't see it to help you on that if we don't have that book or access to it.

okay, let's see if i got this, left shifter, Park and II=hi and I=low, right shifter,1-4 and 5-8, reverser only works in I=lo gear - 8 speed forward 4 speed reverse -

picture 1 - i think the rod going up and down is part #8 in picture 2 of the reverser linkage

picture 3 - is the hi-lo linkage that i do not have - i believe part # 8 in that drawing shows the part that goes through the transmission housing into transmission and actually makes something move - i inspected the housing thoroughly and found nothing.

sorry about not enough info above;
picture 4 - my shifter cover - pic 5 page 35-29 closest looking cover - except for assy parts 1-10 and 23 to 27 and any features on the sides (thickness) of the part - thought it might help id the features we were looking for .....

thanks ...............

Yes

Yes

You do not have the hydraulic Hi-Lo, stopping trying to involve those parts, look at the controls for the reverser. The title says Hi-Lo.

Picture 4 is your shifter cover with the hydraulic reverser linkage.
Again picture 5 is worthless to you, you do not have the hydraulic Hi-Lo. The title tells you it is for the Hi-Lo.

In PC972, look at Section 35, pages 18 and 19 for the reverser controls.

i see said the blind man, yes picture 4 is my shift cover and i was looking for mine and confused the covers on 35, pages 28,29 and 30 for my cover and was trying to say mine is not here, and it wasn't because .... i just found on 35-42 - that was my missing link ....

thank you so much.....
