Hydraulic Remote Valve

Anyone out there have experience with this remote valve? It is weeping fluid from where the spool exits the housing. I did disassemble it for cleaning but did not notice any type of seal. Maybe I missed something. I'd really love to keep it as I don't have the original cover.

Judging by that chamfer on the end of the spool I’d pull the spool out and look in there again. The O-ring is probably mashed flat and hardened to the shape of the groove and difficult to see.

Yeah....I missed this or didn't realize it would leak until the system was pressurized. Hopefully I can get this size packing kit from the local hydraulics store.

I'd be interested in seeing the springs associated with the levers - I have one of these and the springs are apparently broken and the lever will fall down under its own weight and bad things happen. I have the levers propped up on a piece of foam right now. There's been more pressing things to work on. I understand from research on this board this is a AICO valve, long out of business and no parts available. I would expect o-rings/seals/springs to find something to correspond aftermarket.

Top spool assembly assembled, bottom disassembled for your perusal. Pretty simple, just hope I can find a packing kit. The packing is very simple. Just an o-ring and a backup ring. Measurements are shown. I did the best I could do with a dial caliper so..... Should be relatively close. Spool shaft diameter should be accurate as I could measure it with a micrometer.

Bingo.

AICO valve. Long since out of business.

Thanks

Take your measurements here: https://www.theoringstore.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=367_2203 and I'm sure you'll be able to match up the o-ring. What is the nature of the 'backup ring'? Looks fibrous.

Local hydraulic shop matched up the o-ring, 12millimeter i.d. which is close to my measurement of .465". Reused the original leather backup rings and no more leaks! Now gotta figure out why the alternator pulley is getting so hot......
