I purchased a AC-45 with a loader that has not run in about 15 years. I changed the front spindle, did a basic tune up, cleaned the carb and gas tank and got it running. Yesterday I drained cleaned and filled the hydraulic pump and to my suprise the loader works fine other than a leak in one of the hoses.
My question is how do I get the rear rams working? Would they have been bypasses to hook up the loader? If anyone has any pictures of how the lines hook up to run the loader and ther rear rams that would be great. Ultimalally this will be my pasture cutting and stall clean up tractor

I have a few manuals. Unfortinually They don"t show the plumbing for an add on like a loader

The rear rams run off the same lines as the loader. They only way to run them is to isolate the loader lines with a valve, but any valve would have to be capable of 3500 PSI.

There are three ports on the pump/valve assembly. One cyl line should be hooked to each of two side ports. The remaining forward left side port is used for a hyd remote or loader connection. There is a factory line available that fits alongside the battery box and has a rear remote at its terminal under the seat. That bracket bolts to the differential cover.

You can just use it with the rear arms raised..like it would if you had a hydraulic cylinder on a disc..
The arms will raise when you raise the implement (or loader)..
Why change it if it aint broke..!!

I looked in the operator's manual for a #9 loader. It says to tee into the right hand lift arm hose at the valve body and set the hydraulics to the HOLD position. Don't know what brand loader you have, but if its an AC you can get a book for it on ebay. It shows all the fittings you need and how to set it all up.

Thanks all it's a "new idea" loader. I like the if it ain't broke don't fix it approach. The Rams in the back don't seem to be moving when I raise the loader but they could be stuck

Must be stuck or someone has plumbed in a valve. They hyd if the loader and lift arms are plumbed to the pump will pick up wichever load is LIGHTER first. I've plumbed a valve into mine that lets me lock the loader in any position I want.

Well I've been messing around with this for a week now. Before I tear apart the rams in the back I thought I had better ask some more questions. The Loader works fine and appears to be plumbed in from the bottom of the tractor to (what I believe is) the hydraulic fluid pan.The other end is T'd off the remote ram line in the back of the tractor. When I turn off the valve at the T the loader will not move. The problem is still no Matter what I do the Hydraulic rams in the back will not budge.
