I have a MF165 diesel that I had to go over a rebuilding and now the Hydraulics won't work..was working when I started, but been sitting for 2 years... I removed the pto lever plate and cleaned the strainer and also replaced the transmission oil..but lift arms won't work and also the aux. hydraulics.....Pto shaft works ....just wondering if there is an easy fix or a major job....?...THanks and appreciate any info....Mike

Hello Mike, when you drained the oil was
there any evidence of water in it? You
will need to remove the RH side cover
after draining the oil to the level of
the bottom bolt. Operate the quadrant
levers and you should see the pump lever
move correspondingly. If it does not it
suggests that the control valve is
seized. With the engine off using
sensible hand pressure try to move the
pump lever. It may suddenly free. If this
happens work it back and forth to try and
clean it up. If it won't free then its a
pump removal. Let us know how you get on.
