Hydro-70 International

After mowing 4 hours pulling a 15 foot mower, I continued to mow down a slight hill and it felt like the tractor was being pushed by mower, ( I think the mower is too big for the tractor) . I stopped to raise the mower, and although it was still running the tractor wouldn't move anymore. What could be the problem? Thank you on advance.

Put the hi-lo range in neutral. Move the SR lever forward and then to reverse. Does it make the engine labor and you should hear the hydro spinning. Next, make sure the foot pedal is all the way up. ( foot’n inch valve ) is seated tight. Does the pto work and do you have power steering ??

Yes, the PTO and power steering does work. And I did what you said with the SR lever into Ford and then reverse before I talk to you. However, the high low range thing was in low and the foot pillow was all the way up, so do I have to do that procedure again? I heard that maybe because the mower pushed me downhill it might’ve put the tractor into bypass. Could that be possible and if so, how do I get out of bypass?

Try the SR lever with the hi lo transmission in neutral. Should here it load the engine as you move the SR lever forward than reverse at least half way in the quadrant each direction. Have never heard of a hydro going into bypass
