Should be quite the debate, Guys on this International Harvester Forum will be using HY Tran in their tractors, The John Deere Guys will use Hy Guard in their tractors, and the plumbers will use Hydro Guard automatic flush valves on their urinals.

The fact of the matter is that HyGard is fully compatible with, just as good as, and quite possibly nearly identical to, HyTran.

One major difference in the two fluids...
Hy Gard is designed to reject water completely.
Hy Tran is formulated to absorb a small percentage of water.
There is also a difference in viscosty, Hy Gard being a little heavier.

Water soaked fluid can cause separated clutch linings in a Deere.
