I dont do fractions

Now that I'm finally old enough to gripe about kids these days nobody's gonna tell me not to!
You got a point...

You can use this wisely though. If I have to critique a young employee or student... I'll often punctuate it with (in old man voice)... "AND STAY OFFIN MY LAWN, YA WHIPPERSNAPPER"... we both laugh, and the critique usually gets taken well.

I figured it out ,

Are they? Or are they being paid to teach them how to instantly look up the information they need? I was taught how to disect a frog but I've never needed to do that so I forgot how. I taught myself how to lookup "frog dissection" on the internet in case I ever need to do it. I don't like change any more than you do but we need to get up to speed.
That kid that went ahead and became a Dr, infectious disease researcher, veterinarian, etc. remembers. gm

All right, I'll say it again. That's what our schools are being paid to do.
What is being paid into the education system... and how much teaching is going on... are not directly proportional.

Having said that, the above statement is the least fault of the children themselves.

I'll rant all day about how most schools nowadays have 26 layers of administration sucking up money like leaches... but I generally give kids the benefit of the doubt, until they prove otherwise.

Hey, he was paying the kid. When you hire someone, you expect them to know enough to do the job.
Had a 20 year old do a welding job for me , he had taken welding in jvs and he was pretty good. Needed a long, repititious job done of hard-facing 48 hammers for the shredder.

He didn’t know what Abrasoweld was. All I had to do was tell him what it was and how to use it, and not lay the rod on the bench because the coating is conductive. That's all the instruction he needed and went on to do a great job.

Yes I do hate half one and the rest the other like that just like the guy that puts an odd sized nut on a bolt so you need a different socket or wrench to get them off or on. As for the wife comment why do men refer to their wife as their old lady and why do women do the same about their husband as their oldman. I don't think of my wife as my old lady and think it is quite disrespectful of her. Well I suppose becaued she is not their daughter nor aunt or mother and some people would not know who they are referring to if they said her name .Or like in my case some would think I meant some body else since her name is Dale. Yes it is spelled right as a mans name and has been since she was a baby. I get Gale a lot over the phone due to annunciation, or peoples hearing if there is other noise around.

I think ol' lady is pretty much gone now .... i hear a lot of millennials say 'she' or 'her' when referring to their woman. I knew a guy for about a month before I knew what his girlfriend's name was, and they were always together.

I burned him pretty good when I walked up to her one day ( in front of him) and said, " Apparently Dana is ashamed to tell me what your name is so i decided to introduce myself .... I figured your name might be something other 'Her'....."

He has been saying 'Nicole ' for 3years now.
