I H 660 Help!!

My hope is someone on this site will help me with my I H 660. Some background to the problem. It is a hand clutch only. I heard a loud pop from the clutch housing. I removed the top and bottom covers exposing the clutch area. When I removed the bottom cover, pieces of the clutch release fork fell out. I removed the left and right shaft pins and removed what remained of the clutch release fork. My question is can I replace the fork without splitting the tractor? Any help would be appreciated.
 
To do the job , I think you’re going to split it . YT has shop manuals for sale , pick one up .
Sounds like to break it there’s more going on inside . Tractor almost 70 years old going be a lot ot wear and tear .

There was a guy on here that had several 660's, can't remember his handle, think he was from Mn. He even had a 660 puller, and did a lot of wrench work. Maybe he will chime in & help you out......he wouldn't need a manual.

That was rustred from Alberta, he got the boot about 6 months ago for not being to cordial in his replies. He definitely had a lot of IH knowledge. Might find him on Red Power.
