Nice set up you have there, looks like you can push a bunch.
I feel different as I like to get out and move the white stuff. I even clear areas that don't need it just to have something to get me outside. I do get tired of it around the end of March as I look forward to spring and warmer weather.
Anyone else like to get out and play with the N?

Love your set-up! I'm picking up my very first tractor this week, an 8N. My first wish-list attachment is a front snow plow. Not having any luck locating a Dearborn, but I'm wide open to any recommendations you/anyone could share.

see your front wheel weights and your straight cut lines. Do you have to brake steer any with that load?

I agree.

I'm in VA; we got 4 inches here and life as we know it just ended. ;)

Normally, I'd get the 8N out and plow the drive way.....but why? Not going anywhere anytime soon.

I shipped a couple of machines out to Poughkeepsie NY last Thursday. Driver decided he would wait until Monday to deliver and he got stuck in Albany. His plan (as of yesterday) was to deliver some time today so we will see what happens. He lives in Florida so I'm not sure about the appreciation of what that much snow can do.

We are down on snowfall by almost 50" this season and that's ok with me. That storm just missed us and we only got 4~5" at my house Sat/Sun total. Our shop is 35 miles north of the house and there was only 1~2" there. Lake Michigan has virtually no ice at all which is very rare.

Strange weather for sure.

Kirk;
Looks like yer getting a taste of.....'Your turn in the barrel'!!
You have more snow in that drive, than we have had all winter!!
We only have approx. 1" of snow in our upper drive, on top of 4-6 inches of solid ice.
Pouring rain right now....we have been saturated with rain this yr.!
November 13, 2020, we had 17-19 inches of the white crud, in about 2 hrs. Only had spitting snow since then.
54 deg. F yesterday for a high, and 13 deg F, last night!!!

Mother Nature don't like us this year!!!
Weird weather!!!!

Gary

Nice rig kirk.
A bit of snow is okay.
Gives you something to use your tractor for between October and April.
We are way down on snowfall amout this winter.
I've plowed twice but only about 6-8" each time.

I belong to several gun forums and if I happen to complain about some California gun law the wisest members of the forum will come up with the most brilliant advice I've ever heard.

"JUST MOVE"

Isn't that the most brilliant piece of advice for solving a problem that you've ever heard in your life.

No matter that all your relatives are here and you own your home here and all your friends are here and also you have to quit your job...it's very simple to them...JUST MOVE.

So since that advice is so brilliant, I'll offer it to you to solve your snow problem..........JUST MOVE!!!!

Odd as it sounds I enjoy playing in the snow. Using dad's '48 8n with loader and his '52 8n with a back blade. We have all kinds of 'mountains' piled up all over now after the last two days.

Have one of those too. Busted the universal joint and didn't have time to repair it.

Sold a dearborn and an ARPS and homemade one this year. If you find one build one. find an old 6' plow or a jeep, weld or bolt up an angle iron frame and run hydraulics off the test port or use a winch.

I find seat time relaxing. You may like it a little better if you had a cab and a heater. It looks like it pushes well. That's one heck of a blade on the front. If that is a wet snow you're pushing, your tractor is part beast. I enjoy your posts.

Even amall amounts turn into major aggravation. I had one lane of 90% clear pavement when I left for the airport last night. When I got back we had received a small dusting and the temps had dropped below freezing. I almost made it up before I lost rtraction and started sliding backwards. Had to put it in a snowbank to stop. When I got up this morning we had a little more and the entire lane is now a hockey rink. I spent two hours carefully getting the car back on the pavement and have just enough chemicals left to get it down to a flat spot where its out of the way. Hopefully the temps hit the 37 predicted for today and I can get enough pavement showing to chance it with the truck.

At least SNOW isn't ELECTED in... which is not the case for your fine state management... California has done this to itself, which is why *I* left...

Let me make one correction here. I, as in myself, did not do this to California. I have always voted xxxxxxxxxx. So don't lump me in with all the rest of the losers.

The forum wouldn't let me name a political party. But I knew I would get at least one snarky remark. You people never let up do you? You must be in the party I don't like.
