I accidently left the ignition switch on for a
Ford 2000 industrial 4 cyl gas. OOPS! Any way the
coil got really hot so I assume the points were
closed while the switch was on.

I bench tested the coil and got 1.3 ohms for the
primary winding and 36320 ohms (36.32 Kilo ohms)
for the secondary winding. Im pretty sure the
secondary is way out of range but I don't have the
actual specs to compare to. Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks

Ok, let's do some testing.
Do you have power to the coil on the battery side?
If so, what do you have on the distributor side?
Does the power on the distributor side turn on and off when
the points open and close? I like to roll the engine by hand.
If the power turns on and off on the distributor side, do you get
spark from the coil wire directly as opposed to checking plug wires?
