Yes you do. You need one for a 53 or later with an overhead valve engine. I don't know what you have there.

That inline fuel filet is a fire waiting to happen and it is common to see a tractor go up in flames due the a fuel line filter set up that way

Yes, I’m aware of that. I’m asking does anyone know based on what you see, what model ford it is 9n. And year. That way I can get the right carb.

The linkage and spring throttle work. But not when hooked up to this carb.

It's not an N tractor at all. It's either an NAA or a hundred series. It could have a 134 C.I. or a 172 C.I. engine.
See if you can find some numbers or letters on the flat area just behind the starter and post them here or on the other Ford forum just above this one.

It is a hundred series between 1955 and 1957 or 601 as it has the smaller manifold mount for the carburetor.
