Trying to get my 1850 diesel back together. Today I replaced the rear main seal, put the bell housing back on, turned the ring gear on the flywheel, put the clutch back in and got the Hydra Power put on. I was tightening the bolts in the Hydra Power and twisted one of them off. Looks like I'll be taking the Hydra Power off to try to get the broken bolt out. Not sure if any of the bolt is sticking out or not, guess I'll find out. Worst part, the neighbor kid who helped me get the Hydra Power back on is leaving for camp for a week, gonna be a PAIN trying to get it on myself.
I wonder if I took 4 pieces of all thread rod and screwed into 4 holes if that would help line things up and slide together? It didn't help any that it was 100° outside. Mama said there'd be days like this. Chris

If you've got a wire feed welder just weld a nut to it and back it it out. You probably still need to pull it apart but that trick has never let me down.

old folks like you need to take it easy in the heat. LOL It"s about 80* and ZERO humidity here right now, but I"m not home. Not even in the Land of Lincoln. In the Land of 10,000 lakes. ON A MISSION!
