Id Tractor 1963 MF

New User
I have recently acquired what I believe to be a 1963 MF 65 High Clearance tractor. It has a continental engine and runs on propane.

Need to replace both rear rims and tires on tractor. Tires are 13.6-38 on Spin-out 12 inch rims. Tractor will never be used for farming again do the it's age. Wanting to restore it to as close to as possible to original.

I do have rear blade and shredder for the rear of tractor that will get use.

What rims would be best to use on tractor? Any and all information will be appreciated. Tractor will probably have to have clutch and pressure plate replaced soon. Engine runs perfectly.

Great looking tractor. Your going to have fun with that one. I sure dont see from the pictures any how why you would change the rims. And for that matter if your only doing lite work with it and the tires are holding air I wouldnt replace the rubber either. Till its restored and painted at least.

I will not change them until at least summer time. I plan on repainting it then. Can someone tell me what rims will fit it and where the best place to but them would be. It says the rimes are 12 inch. (Exactly the way they would be described by dealer.)

As far as I can tell it is a 1963 model. It was bought new by a cousin of mines husband. He used it farming cotton until he passed away a couple of years ago. My brother bought it from her a couple of years ago and I just bought it from him last week.

I have been looking at replacement small parts, steering wheel, etc. Is the center cover n this tractor (Power Steering cap with two screws) Different that most. The only replacements I find have a center hole that is covered with a chrome nut.
Thanks for your replies, they are greatly appreciated.

The power steering washer that you pictured is for the earlier tractors with the flat steering wheel. Your tractor has the dished steering wheel with a much larger hub, for lack of a better term. Part number 192432M2 on this site appears to be what you need.

I don't know about the "best" place to buy those rims, but I'd try to source some good used ones. The prices I'm finding are obscene. Here's some new ones-

You are right about high prices. There has to be a better way than that. The correct description of them would be 38x12 6 rail Power Adjust rims? Is that correct

However it's listed in the links is what I'd go by. Rims can often be repaired if the rust isn't too bad. I don't see anything serious in your pics.
