Identification help?

Good evening forum chums,
Recently got a John Deere 3010 …1962 variety…. I was cleaning out the toolbox and organizing some things and I found some kind of cover and I can’t figure out where it was and where it should be…. It’s painted on one side and not the other so I figure maybe one of you find folks will recognize it and tell me where it goes…. Pictures to follow….. loving this old tractor…. Been working with 45 and 50 hp older Fords for my entire life and this one’s got some spunk!

Starter solenoid safety cover to prevent someone from shorting it across to start.
