The plate on the tank has NATL.BD.34175 Max WP 200 lbs 1952
there are other things one the plate
74405 1952
SH226HD194RH-ELL
HSB 74405

The plate on the compress says Size 3 3/8" bore
Duplex Compr
Serial number C8064A-17501 Min Speed 400 RPM

Plate on the motor has Peerless Electric Co
2 HP 1750 RPM 1 ph 115/230 volts 1 HR duty 60 cyv 26/13 amp
can't read the serial number because picture is blurry

Any idea where I can find parts. The large pulley has the center sections broken. Is this a good compressor and is it worth anything. It runs and pumps but slows down as it builds pressure. Right now it is wired for 115 volts but know it would work better on 230 volts. Have no idea how the mechanism on top of the pump works. There is a run that runs down the side and appears that the large pulley activates something. Any idea where I may find a manual or at least good pictures of this model.

This should lead you to a pulley that fits. If the belt is slipping, a new pulley will help allow tightening. If the motor is wired for 240 it would likely not start the compressor on 120. If the wires get hot, an adequate source of 120 (wired correctly) will work. Jim

Do you really want to take the chance on a A 71 year old tank not blowing up?

Scrap price, no more.

You might be able to rejuvenate the motor and rebuild the compressor.

No brand name on the compressor?

A water based static test to 200psi would be my solution Completely filled with water, then pressuized to 150% of intended pressure would work. Good call on the safety issue. Jim

I have a compressor that has an unloading valve
on the top of the cylinder.
The large pulley is like a mechanical end switch
on a motor. When the pulley is not spinning the
weights on the pulley cause the unloading valve
to open so the compressor is not under pressure
when it starts. When the pulley comes up to
speed, the unloading valve closes and the
compressor starts building pressure.

Good luck finding parts. Good luck finding an old
compressor for parts.

I would bet that the compressor hasn't been made
in the past 50 years, only my guess.

have what you described, Geo. ~1927 , still pumping, all original except elect pressure switch, gauge and belt.
