Hello Jim, welcome to YT! Not sure if I have welcomed you before but in this case twice is better than not at all. Not a 100 percent certain on this but it certainly looks like it could be a Kelly Ryan, see link. Kelly Ryan spreaders

Knight 252. Those old Knight spreaders are built like battleships. They were bought out by Kuhn some time ago. Haven't serached for parts, so I'm not sure if they are still supported or not.

Keep some used oil in an old dish soap or mustard squeeze bottle. Before using it for the day oil the roller chains. Sorry, AMF seems pretty sure it is a Knight brand. It just had a lot of similarities to the 60’s something K/R we had on the farm.

yes knight spreader also marketed as gehl 252 or knight 180 or gehl 180 gehl were painted red good old spreader the 180 were a smaller version would need measurements to tell which it is

I forgot all about them until you said something. Did they make forage boxes at one point?

Thanks fellas. I was thinking knight also. Any idea where there might be a model/serial # on it besides the decals that where obviously painted over?

I think you’ll like that Knight spreader. After having New Hollands, I switched to Knight/Kuhn and they are built so much heavier! No issues at all with the Knight/Kuhn and heavy loads.
