Identify Plow

I bought this plow with a 54 Ford NAA. Can anyone help identify it? It has Ford logo cast into the frame. The crossbar in the back has four rivets where the nameplate used to be. Can I still get replacement cutting edges? If so, where?

It appears to be a Ferguson plow, the front coulter is also replaced with a different brand

You have a 1942 Ferguson model AO plow, to see if parts for the bottoms are available give the number from the back of the moldboard since so many different style bottoms were available for your AO frame.

Since it is the AO plow, you can download a complete 32 page operating manual on-line. I know because I did about 6 weeks ago. I don't remember the website but just do a search and you'll find it. Gene

Some of the early Ferguson plows(some say most)were cast w/ the Ford logo in the beam, but some of the early ones(like mine)did not have the logo.

I plowed with this type "Ferguson" plow( Cast beams, circle type rotating, lower point adjustment, cast points, appear original colters, that was bought with our 1939 9N, new. I bid a high price at an auction (think $250) and let the guy have it. It is a "collectors item" and he was only go to use it to show and sell his Ford Ferguson antiques, as they sell for more, with a plow. Finding points for this plow and the plow does not pentrate good, in hard clay, with worn points,Points are almost extinct. You can get a second use of them by welding spring steel to them (at the point) and grinding. Personally I would keep Your plow "great condition", for "show only" on a 9N. We broke the beamthe first year and they replaced it. We also had a twisted type rake affair,attached to the beams, that turned the tall weeds and grass under the turning furrow.
I would recommend buying a "razor type point"," Dearborn" Ford plow for field work, as they are twice as good as this plow and your can get replacable points, yet.

I looked closer at plow and have noted some changes from orignal. Rear coulter appear original with "U" shaped "Jointer" (Little plow that bolts on inside of coulter and throws first 3 iches of furrow over before moldboard turning and aids weed-sod coverage). The front coulter is from another type plow.
The rear moldoard "Landslide" (Slides on vertical edge of uncut furrow slides and is the counter force of molboard turning furrow, is broke off, or is a front moldboard "Landslide" and is missing an extra 6 inches of length in back, on which bolts the "tailwheel rolling landslide". This means that if this plow is used, it will be forced to the landside and the first moldboard will probably cut 16" instead of the 14" (measure accross beams between moldboard).

Thanks everyone. I bought the plow from someone who had used it for the last 10 years in his garden every spring and fall. I used it this spring in a field to for our garden. Once I got everything adjusted it worked great. It cut through the sod, weeds and heavy clay like a hot knife through butter.
