Identify this carburetor?

I'm starting to go through a 1947 Farmall A that I purchased a few months ago. Thanks to this forum, you have already helped me identify the year and a few other great pieces of info (tractor is missing the serial # plate).

Can anyone identify this Zenith carburetor and let me know whether it is original or not? Everything I am reading, tells me they originally came with Carters...

I just need to get a rebuild kit. I know I should be able to find numbers on it once I take it off, but figured I'd give the experts a chance.

Looks like every carburetor I've seen on every Farmall A. A little
dirtier though. Don't know the number of the carb but it is the most
popular for an A or B Farmall. Take it to a good parts store and they
will help you.

After you clean it up ,youll see a round tag on the the top plate . Get the correct parts from the tag number good luck

It looks the same as my C. If you look under the make and model of tractor, it should list the correct kit. That is assuming
that you have the original carb. still on the tractor.

Well my "oficial" IH service manual that I got many moons ago for my BN but also lists A, AV, B, BN and International A tractors plus the U-2 Power unit says all those came with possibility of four different carbs.

Two for gasoline and two for distillate.

The carbs were either a Zenith model 161 or a Mavel Schebler model TSX. Says the models were the same for gas or distilate but that the distilate versions had the addition of an adjustable main jet where the gas versions only had the idle jet adjuster.

Also says the IH Number for a gasoline engined tracktor with the Zenith has the IH part number of 52499 DB and the Zenith number of 0-9752.
