identify what model

Hey guys, slowly chipping away getting some parts and such, and needing to fix what appears to be a run away governor.With that being said, I want to make sure I can identify correctly, my tractor. When I bought it, the gentleman, ( it was a 16 year old kid actually) told me it was a TE-20.I do not see any tags, or anything anywhere with any model or serial numbers, and I assume its long gone, but , just in case, where should it be? Also, any other way to identify engine as Cont or Std? Most all of the typical T series stuff seems to be fine as far as brackets, hardware, liughts etc, but I simply dont know exactly what model it is, and what engine it is.Would alos like to grab a repair manual.

Any help is appreciated.

Am I also correct, almosty all these these type tractors seemed to use the same replacment governor? Is there any repair to an existing governor?

Easiest and most direct way to identify the engine is from the oil filler cap on the rhs .
If it is towards the front of the engine it is most likely a Continental engine , if towards the rear , almost just below the battery tray it is an English made Standard Motors engine .

Pictured here is a Standard Motors 12 volt TED 20 . Oil filler cap, the bright disc to the rhs .

Thank You, mine is exactly as yours pictured, so I guess I have the STD . I need to order a governor kit, so that helped.
