Identifying my 3500 industrial???

Just purchased another tractor. I believe it’s a 3500 industrial however I can’t seem to find any information on it anywhere. I have pictures of the vin on the transmission and engine side. Was told it was a 3500 industrial with a 735 series loader. 3 cylinder diesel. 3 point hitch and pto. Any info on help finding the year and model would be great! Thanks.

No numbers are stamped on the flat spot of this one. Having a tough time finding the year of it been looking for a replacement loader valve body for it or one that’ll work for it and can’t for the life of me find one

b24b is part of a date code that says either the tractor or the transmission was assembled on February 24 during the day shift, but the preceding numeral is missing, which would tell us the year.

c296914 is a serial number for a tractor that was assembled in the US in 1971, but the louvered hood sides in your pictures say that the sheet metal is from a pre-4/1/68 tractor.

So the transmission was probably swapped out at some point and unless there's a foil sticker on the underside of the hood, you'll never now exactly when it left the assembly line or what options it might have had at the time. Just go off of what engine (gas or diesel), PTO and transmission options it has now.

After some cleaning I found the number c296914? And above that is stamped b24b
C296914 is a 1971 serial number, the C means made in USA. B24B is a date code but is missing the first digit which should be a 1 for 1971. The first B is for February, 24 is for the 24th of Feb, and the last B is for day shift.

19-526 is the loader frame ID for a 735- Series loader. The 735 was used on the 3500, 4400, and 4500. So your basic identification of 3500 and 735 loader is correct if you have three cylinders.

Awesome, it is a 3 cylinder diesel. Guy I bought it from said it was a 5500 which I didn’t believe was correct. Paid 2000 for this tractor with zero issues except for the bucket won’t tilt. Looking for a replace valve body for it now. Tractor runs and operates like a new one would. Divorce sales are awesome lol.

My 4500 has whole lot heavier loader than that, other than mounting frame it is lot more like the one thats on a 3400 thats in parts row.

The engine serial number starts with a C, so the engine was made for a 3xxx series tractor, and it also means that the tractor it left the factory in was also made after 4/1/1968, so I am beginning to think that it might be a 1971 tractor that had the sheet metal replaced with earlier tin at some point. Also, it looks like the hood side panels aren't lining up right with the nosecone.
