IH 1460

There's an IH 1460 on a sale an hour away from me. No heads. I have access to a mid-'80's era Claas corn head and a New Holland 974 corn head, both 6 row. How hard would it be to adapt either of those to the IH?
Pretty limited budget right now...but it's hard to find ANYTHING affordable with a narrow row head.

It would be cheaper to find a 1063 head then to adapt the other heads.

my nephew bought my old 1680 and got a bish adapter and it was not cheap or at least i didn't think so as he had a JD head he wanted to use. i think looking for a 1063 head would be better. that what i still run.

What's your budget? The older IH 863 should work good but care must be taken to give a good look over in terms of wear parts such as chains and bearings. The newer 963 and 1063 heads had improvements and addressed shortcomings but a lot of acres were run through 863 heads.
