IH 2000 loader swap

Hi guys. Im looking at a IHC 2000 loader that was mounted on a 2405 IHC. Has anybody here swapped one from a utility to a row crop such as an 806 ? Wondering what I would need to do to get the swap done.
-Loader frame width?
-Loader frame length?
-Mounting bracket fabrication I know will have to be done.
Any experience is much appreciated !

Do you mean a 2504?

Width should be the same.
Length will likely be too short.

The owner's manual has good drawings of the mounting brackets for the various types of tractors. It might be worth $20 to pick one up to help you make your decision, or just take the plunge and buy the loader! Nothing that needs to be done to make it fit is particularly challenging or impossible if you can cut and weld metal reasonably.

What you need to do is hang the loader, park the tractor under it, and take measurements.

Not sure if it's any help but I bought a loader off a 656 utility think it was a 2000 with factory hyd bucket to put on a 460 Farmall. Worked perfect.

We have a Farmall 656 diesel hydro with the loader from a utility installed on it. It was that way when we bought it. It works fine but serviceability is terrible. The loader frame for a utility sits higher in relation to the frame rails than a rowcrop loader does. For example I have seen the Farmall loader on a Farmall 656 gas hydro that was a one owner tractor. The loader frame was almost the same height as the tractor frame rails. The engine was easily accessible for service. The loader frame was jus the right height to make a nice step to get on the operators station. Our 656 with the utility loader on it sits with the loader mounting frame about 3-4 inches above the tractor frame rail. You have to know just where to put your hands just to check the oil and if you need to add any, it takes a long flexible funnel and a prayer. We run this tractor on a round baler in the summer and because of the location of the loader frame channels, it catches all the engine heat and funnels it right back to the operator. Wouldn't be bad in the winter but it will bake you off of it on a 95 degree August day. Like I said, it works just fine but as soon as I can find a nice 2000 Farmall loader in my area, reasonable, this ones coming off. Sorry for the long winded reply but just wanted to pass along my experiences with it.
