I currently own a 454, 1972 gas and I am not that crazy about it. Been a Massey guy and was originally looking for a Ford. This 454 has a loader, and while it seems to suffice I am just not in love with it.
I am looking at a IH 2400 Industrial that seems to be in really good shape and been sheded, with lower hours and just better features overall. Joy stick for loader and live pto which the 454 does not seem to have or at least is not working. The 2400 says 48 HP and in tractor data it has the 454 at 50 HP. Aren't they the same tractor or is the 2400 lower to the ground and have slightly smaller engine displacement?
Opinions of the 2400 are MORE than welcome. I guess I am a traditionalist in that if a tractor is supposed to be red then it outta be red, if green then green. Just hard to drive a yellow tractor but if it does the job and keeps me having fun playing in the dirt then so be it?
