Checking into buying this tractor and need a little info. It has always been in a garage on a acreage has a IH hydraulic loader is showing 1609 hr. Need to know if it is a Louisville or British made. Serial # appears to be 14685.And is one better or worse than the other. Sending a friend to look at it tomorrow as it is out of state and is in a estate owned now by 4 ladies as there dad passed away. Any info would be appreciated thanks

I'd grab it if it was in decent shape and those are the actual hours and price is right. I think it was made in USA but the parts for most ll of the IH tractors are available new or used.

I have owned a 2424 for 30 years now and would not trade it for anything. Plows snow, skids logs, hauls wagons, splits wood. The rare times I have had problems I was able to fix them myself - its a fairly simple machine.

Iv had one for about 6 years now great tractor, starts right up at 0deg and runs strong. You'll really enjoy true power steering and that 2000 loader. Only down side to mine is transmission driven pto but independent was on option.
